
Call For Abstracts
You are invited to submit an abstract for the IHEA National Symposium, to be held at the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges.
This year’s theme, Collaboration by Design: Advancing Healthcare Together, will explore the importance of partnership, innovation, and shared expertise in shaping the future of healthcare.
Once you are in the submission portal
To begin the submission process you must first create a contact which is done on the Create Contact tab. After creating a contact, additional tabs will appear that will enable you to upload and submit your presentation.
The 2026 IHEA National Symposium invites abstract submissions from delegates who have an interest in Healthcare Engineering and Facilities Management. The IHEA offers authors the opportunity to share their vision and experience on topics that align with the conference theme.
The symposium's theme is Collaboration by Design: Advancing Healthcare Together.
Prizes will be awarded for the best paper presented by an IHEA member as judged by the conference technical committee.
The call for abstracts will close at 5pm AWST Monday 27 July 2026.
Presentation duration
Presentations will be 10 minutes in total, all sessions will end with a 20 minute question and answer panel where all speakers from the session will be invited to answer questions from the MC and audience.

How to submit an abstract
Healthcare facilities journal
It is a requirement of all accepted oral presenters to submit a full paper according to IHEA's guidelines to be included in the Healthcare Facilities Journal. All editorial submissions should be supplied as a word doc with high resolution images (300dpi) sent as separate files. It is expected that articles will be between 1,500 - 2,000 word count.
